DATA SHEET FOR CONCRETE PRODUCTS

Concrete products are manufactured from a composition of several materials which after a period of curing are considered inert. The main constituents are sand, gravel and cement.

Physical & Chemical Characteristics:

All sand and gravel is obtained from natural occurring deposits and consist of combinations of various minerals which may exclude quartz. Portland cement is used in the production of all our products. As this is cured on completion of the manufacturing process it is regarded as inert.

The product is of a dense composition and therefore care in handling bulk supplies is necessary within the defined regulations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 in respect of handling and lifting bulk.

Transportation Storage & Disposal:

The carriage of concrete units are not subject to hazardous conveyance regulations. Waste products from the cutting of the units is considered inert, but should be disposed of in accordance with local authority legal requirements for waste disposal currently in force. Storage of bulk materials should be in accordance with standard codes of practices and other regulations in respect of bulk storage, stacking and mechanical lifting operations.
